Tobin became sports director of KFDX-3 News in January 2007. Prior to that he spent 10 years anchoring weekend sportscasts on KFDX, including the popular weekly sports show Sports Sunday. Tobin earned a degree in Broadcast & Cinematic Arts from Central Michigan University, graduating in 1993. He got his start at KFDX working as an associate producer for the morning and noon newscasts. After one year he began anchoring the morning newscast and eventually moved into the sports department. A native of Brighton, MI, He greatly misses his nieces and nephews who live in the Midwest. Bobby and Claire live in Indiana while Jessica and Shawnee live in Michigan. He can also often be found at Starbucks where most of the employees can tell you exactly what he drinks.
