Matt Mahler is the meteorologist for KFDX 3 News Today and Noon. He joined the KFDX team in November 2006. Matt was born and raised in Sherman, Texas and has been interested in weather since he was in elementary school—and that passion is what drove him to become a meteorologist. Matt traveled north of the Red River to attend the University of Oklahoma for 5 years and received his Bachelor of Science in Meteorology along with a minor in math and an area of concentration in journalism. While at OU, he was the on-air meteorologist for the student newscast, OU Nightly. Matt also interned at the CBS affiliate in Sherman, KXII-TV 12. Although he is a native Texan, Matt describes himself as a die-hard Sooner fan, and a dedicated Dallas Mavericks fan. In his spare time he enjoys music, movies, working out, and watching ESPN.
