Texoma students are making sure area families are able to have a happy holiday, instead of a hungry one.
Students are collecting food for the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank's "Students Against Hunger" food drive. Students will collect canned foods and other non-perishables through November 13th. Last year, the drive raised more than 34-thousand pounds of food.
Donation's from students will be used in Christmas baskets and emergency food boxes for Texomans in need
Midwestern State and Sheppard Air Force Base are also pitching in to put food on the table for Thanksgiving.
They're also kicking off a food drive. Students and Airmen will collect canned goods, stuffing, boxed mashed potatoes, and other non-perishable items through November 11th.
Those collected donations will also be used to prepare Thanksgiving dinner for Texomans in need.
