Friday, Nov 6, 2009 @05:11pm CST Gail Jackson faces trial on a charge of aggravated assault. In April police were called to the 400 block of East Third Street in regards to a shooting. Investigators say Jackson pointed a handgun at his wife while they were arguing and threatened to shoot her. They say Jackson’s stepson tried to pull the gun away and it discharged shooting Jackson’s other stepson in the neck but he survived.
A woman who was taken into custody over the summer as part of operation street sweeper has been indicted by the Wichita County Grand Jury. Kerrie Haney faces trial on a charge of theft over $1,500. According to court documents she's charged with stealing nearly $10,000 over a two month period last year from D&S Residential Services in Wichita Falls where she worked as a case manager. Haney is one of 27 people rounded up by federal and local authorities during the initiative to crackdown on financial crimes in North Texas. A man charged with stealing items from two Wichita Falls churches is indicted on two counts of burglary of a building. According to an arrest affidavit a worker from First Baptist Church told investigators that 33-year-old Jimmy Gary was seen taking a speaker from the building. It goes on to say that he tried to sell the speaker at a pawn shop but was turned away because he didn't have its match. But he returned several hours later with that speaker and some stolen items from Faith Baptist Church. |
