Breezy and warm south to southwest winds will continue
Saturday ahead of storm systems moving into the west. One near the
Baja and the other in the gulf of Alaska.
The upper low moving across northern Mexico will translate east through
texas over the weekend. It will try and tap into moisture working
through the gulf to the north of tropical system Ida... but it
appears that rain chances will remain confined to the gulf coast and south
Texas over the weekend.
Meanwhile... A northern wave will move east across the northern part
of the U.S. over the weekend into early next week. As this occurs
it will drag a weak cold front south through the plains and across
Oklahoma into Texas on Monday. North/northeast flow around back side
of the gulf storm system will limit return of gulf moisture into our
area. However a few elevated post-frontal showers will be possible
Monday afternoon and evening. Another Pacific airmass settles in
behind the surface front for the middle of next week with perhaps
another front and rain opportunity for the following weekend.
Near seasonal to above seasonal temps look to continue with no real
Canadian/arctic air in sight... For now.
