Crime Stoppers for 12-10-12

By: Darrell Franklin
Updated: December 10, 2012
After 32- years, Wichita Falls Crime Stoppers continues to work hard to help reduce crime in and around the city of Wichita Falls.

Here are some numbers to take in that show just what's been accomplished in that time.

Because of thousands of anonymous tips,  possibly some from you, there have been almost 44 hundred arrests, almost 7,000 criminal cases cleared, and 31.1 million dollars in stolen property and narcotics have been seized and recovered.

The success of the program is due to the cooperating efforts of citizens, police, and the media.

So, as always, if you have any information about a felony crime, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers, 24 hours a day at 322-9888.

If you're calling long distance, just call 1-800-322-9888.

You never have to give your name, and if your information leads to the arrest and board approval, you could earn up to $1,000.00.

Also, if you'd like to help Crime Stoppers go on working to put criminals behind bars, call either of those same numbers to make a contribution.

Your dollars will help pay for rewards, and help keep our community a safer place to live.
