A new study published in "The Business Journals" this month puts Wichita Falls amongst US cities with the shortest commutes to work.
The study examined travel-to-work times in 269 large cities.
According to the study, "the city of blue skies and golden opportunities" has the second shortest commute of US cities with populations greater than 100-thousand.
Five West Texas cities made the list of top 10 shortest commutes.
Abilene residents have the shortest drive to work.
The study claims about 58 percent of Abilene workers can get to their workplace in less than 15 minutes.
Wichita Falls is second, Lubbock takes fourth, Amarillo has the seventh shortest commute, and Midland the tenth.
The city with the longest commute time: New York City.
