PGR Rider in Critical Condition after Accident

Heavy rain and slick roads might be the cause of a motorcycle accident that leaves a Patriot Guard Rider in serious condition with multiple broken bones.
Larry Smith, who's from Bowie, was on his way back from a Patriot Guard Rider mission in Olney yesterday afternoon.
Friends say because of heavy rain, Smith lost control of his motorcycle and crashed near FM 174 and Highway 148.
His motorcycle slid across the wet pavement and landed in a nearby field.
Friends say Smith fractured several vertebrae in his neck and back, fractured his collar bone, broke his ankle, and sustained a concussion.
He's currently in serious but stable condition.
