New Harvest Food Ministry Facility to Open Soon

Harvest Food Ministry in Holliday is almost ready to move into their new facility. Work began on the new building back in January. The new 32 hundred square foot facility features plenty of storage space for food and will include a walk-in freezer, large commercial kitchen, and office space.

Pastor Michael Wells with Holliday Assembly of God Church says the ministry helps about 90 families every month and the new building will allow him to expand the ministry. "Let's just say a lot of folks don't know how to cut up a chicken, they may get a chicken and have no idea how to prepare that. I'm thinking that maybe we'll even have an opportunity to have some classes on cooking, and making some things that maybe people never learned how to do,'' Wells said.
