Vernon State Hopsital Escapee Facing Juvenile Assault Charge

A 17 year old, who escaped from the North Texas State Hospital in Vernon in September, will soon be leaving Sweetwater, Texas.
Jonathan Ray Torrez remains in the Nolan County jail in Sweetwater on an evading arrest charge after police found him at his mother's house on October 22nd.
Jail officials say his time served for that charge ends Monday, October 19th, but he may not be returning to Wilbarger County to face the escape charge.
According to Nolan County jail officials, as of November 12th, a warrant was issued for Torrez out of Lubbock on a juvenile assault charge.
It's unknown at this time if when he will return to Wilbarger County.
