A non-profit organization is need of angels to help hundreds of children in need have a Merry Christmas.

The Salvation Army has angel trees inside several Wichita Falls businesses.

The trees have tags representing more than 1,100 area children ages zero to 12.

And while those tag lists the sizes and wants for each child, coordinators say this year they are making some changes to the program.

"We've tried to make sure that on the wish list, the items there are age appropriate for the children. Secondly, we've tried to give a variety of suggestions on there from very small dollar to more moderate price dollars. We also try to make sure the things are very generic," says Capt. Gregory Shannon, commander of the Wichita Falls Salvation Army.

If you'd like to give a child a Christmas through this program you can can find a Salvation Army angel tree inside Sikes Senter Mall and at the entrances to all three Walmarts in Wichita Falls.
