Children digging in a Christmas, Florida yard found what appeared to be some type of grenade on Saturday afternoon.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office bomb squad detonated the object around 5 p.m. and no one was injured.
Deputies said a second device was also found a short time after the blast and was blown up.
"It was a live grenade. Secondly, while they were disposing of the first one close by, they found a second hand grenade," said Paul Hopkins, of the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
A homeowner who asked to remain unnamed said his grandson picked up one of the grenades and brought it to him.
