A Wichita Falls man is behind bars tonight after police say he threatened them with a machete.

42-year-old Jose Alfredo Estrada is charged with burglary of a habitation for allegedly forcing his way into a home in the 19- hundred block of 9th street. Authorities say Estrada told them he went to the home because someone there owed him money.

When officers interviewed the homeowners, they say they learned Estrada forced entry into the home,  waived a machete, and threatened to kill everyone inside the home. A man inside says he pulled a gun on Estrada and told him to leave, otherwise he would shoot.

Estrada is jailed on a 25-thousand-dollar bond.
