There's a new Eagle Scout in North Texas.

Dozens gathered at First Christian Church in Wichita Falls for the special ceremony to celebrate a Boy Scout's once-in-a-lifetime achievement.

Austin Holcomb was presented with the Boy Scout's highest honor, Eagle Scout last night. He's been in the Boy Scouts for three years.

Since then, Austin has achieved 21 merit badges and completed an Eagle project building benches at the Women's Refuge.

"It's a great feeling. I've really never been in a situation like this before," said Holcomb.

Organizers also took the time to honor all Eagle Scouts in the Northwest Texas Council on the 100th anniversary of the first Eagle Scout award.
