In the coming year, fliers may have an easier time getting through security checkpoints at airports.

The Transportation Safety Administration has launched a pilot program that lets average travelers hurry to their planes without having to remove their shoes or take liquids out of their carry on luggage. But there will be a couple of hurdles before you get to your gate.

Travelers must first get past a bomb sniffing dog and an agent who is specially trained to detect suspicious behavior.

It's a program called "Managed Inclusion" and is currently being tested in Tampa and Indianapolis. TSA official's say they hope to expand the program next year. The TSA currently operates "pre-check" security lines in 35 airports.

Those lines are reserved for pre-screened travelers who are members of an airline or hotel loyalty program or who have paid 100 dollars to enroll in a screening program through the US Customs and Border protection.
