Forms for the 2012 Census of Agriculture are being delivered to about 375 thousand ranchers, farmers, and agricultural producers in Texas this week.

The census is collected every five years and is a complete count of US farms, ranches,

and the people who operate them.

Officials say filling out these forms is very important as they serve as a voice for the American farmers.

"Universities, researchers, the federal government, they all use that information to help develop policy or determine priorities for research," said Fred Hall, the Wichita County Agricultural Agent.

Everyone who receives this form is required to fill it out and return them.
