Detroit Mother Allegedly Stabs Her Child to Death

A Michigan mother is in police custody for allegedly stabbing her 9-year-old daughter to death over the weekend.
Detroit police say the girl was already dead by the time they arrived to the townhome where they lived early yesterday morning. Police also say they have submitted a warrant request to prosecutors.
Neighbor Kim Atta Craig-Miles said, "I heard hollering and five minutes later, I heard screaming. Piercing screaming that I couldn't ignore. I had to get out of my bed. So I walked in, and low and behold the little girl was laying on the floor."
The woman's other four children have been placed into child protective services.
