Man Charged with Aggravated Assault After Card Game Goes Wrong

By: Melissa Foy
Updated: January 2, 2013
A fight about a card game puts one man behind bars.
On Christmas Eve, police say David Butler and another man were playing cards inside Butler's residence in the 14-hundred block of Burkburnett Rd.
The victim claims he and Butler got in a verbal argument about their game of cards.
He says Butler left the room, but then returned with a gun and told him to get out of his house.
Officers say the victim complied, and then notified authorities.
Police say they found a gun matching the description the victim gave them, but it turned out the gun was actually a pellet gun.
Butler was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
