A Waurika man is under arrest and charged with engaging in sexual communication with a minor by use of technology.

42-year-old Robert Gutierrez, Jr. is accused of inappropriate texting with a 15-year-old female. The Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation began its investigation last month.

Authorities say on December 20th, Gutierrez turned himself into the Jefferson County Jail. Gutierrez who was reserve officer for the city of Ryan at the time, was charged and bond was set at 20-thousand dollars.

Investigators say Gutierrez was the foster parent of the teenager several months prior to the explicit texts. The girl's current foster parent alerted police to the crime.
