Suspicious Bruising on 5-year-old Girl Leads to Arrest

Suspicious bruising on a little girl's body leads to the arrest of a 25-year-old man.
George Rodriguez is charged with injury to a child.
According to an affidavit, in November, staff at a Wichita Falls school become concerned when they found bruises on a five-year-old girl's face and neck.
The girl told them and a cps caseworker that Rodriguez had hit her with a belt.
Authorities say the child had severe bruising on both sides of her buttocks area, and the back of both thighs down to her knees.
They say the girl also had welts on the back of her right thigh.
Officers say Rodriguez told them he didn't realize he spanked the girl that hard and that he was sorry.
He's out on a $5000 bond.
