A motorcycle crash on a Wichita Falls overpass turns fatal after the driver falls over the railing... plunging several feet onto the street below.

It happened around 11:30 a.m., in the southbound lane of the Lloyd Ruby Overpass.

That's where Wichita Falls police say 21 year old David Villa Arizola, Junior was riding a motorcycle and was somehow thrown off of it.

Police say his body went over the overpass guardrail and plunged at least nine feet below onto Holliday Street between 11th and 12th Streets.

Emergency crews worked to stabilize Arizola and hustle him to the hospital but police say he later died from his injuries.

Now, it is up to police to determine what caused this fatal crash.

"As part of the accident investigation's job is they'll do measurements and they're very detailed on how they do these type of accidents. Use lasers and get the exact measurements and stuff like that," says Sgt. John Spraggins, public information officer with the Wichita Falls Police Department.

Police say an autopsy will be performed.

The last time a crash happened like this one was back on October 15, 2010.

An 18 wheeler lost control on the Lloyd Ruby Overpass and went over the guardrail.

The cab was left dangling before it detached and crashed below onto 8th Street.

The 56 year old California truck driver survived with a few cuts and bruises.
