Dozens of Texomans tied up their tennis Sunday morning and competed in day two of a marathon called The Duel.
Today's event had runners pounding the pavement on the Wichita Falls Circle Trail.
Crowds waited and watched as participants slowly made their way to the finishline.
And while contestants worked up a sweat in this weekend long marathon the actual event helped work up money for the Midwestern State Cross Country team.
"We use the money for travel, we can put it towards uniforms, shirts, shoes, anything like that and every little bit helps in little areas," says Ashley Flores, a member of the cross country team.
Runners who clocked the fastest full marathon times got an added bonus this year.
They qualified for the 2014 Boston Marathon.
