Wichita Falls police nab a robbery suspect shortly after a local convenience store was held up early Thursday morning.

Thirty-three year-old Aaron Glasspoole is charged with aggravated robbery.

That charge stems from an armed robbery that happened just before 1 a.m. at the Stripes in the 1000 Block of Holliday.

Police say Glasspoole walked in, pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the clerk before leaving the scene with an unknown amount of cash.

But officials say less than 45 minutes after the robbery was reported Glasspoole was stopped in the 1700 block of 10th Street, which is not far from the crime scene.

According to investigators, Glasspoole matched the description of the robber and they also found a weapon believed to be used in the robbery.

Glasspoole is in the Wichita County jail a $50,000 bond.
