People Flock To Gun Show At The MPEC

The issue of gun control did not stop folks from flocking to this year's first gun show near downtown Wichita Falls.

For the past two years coordinators say every show at the MPEC's Exhibit Hall has been sold out.

But they say this show sold out before 2013 even started.

One vendor tells us he sold more guns Saturday than he's ever sold in a two day gun show.

And coordinators say it's because of the Obama administration's push for tougher gun legislation that's caused even more people to pack this place for knives, guns, ammunition and other collectibles.

"They seem to be a little bit on the scared side, and they don't want to be without some sort of protection, others think they should get it while they can and stock up," said Joe Tom White, the Gun Show coordinator.

The next Wichita Falls Gun Knife and Collectible Show is set for may 25th and 26th at the MPEC.
