The man arrested earlier this month at a Wichita Falls apartment complex on a murder warrant out of the metroplex has been transferred to the Tarrant County Jail.

Nineteen-year-old Anthony Hoyer is charged with murder.

He's being held on a $500-thousand bond.

He was arrested at an apartment complex after police were tipped off he could be hiding there.

Hoyer is charged in the New Year's Day murder of 21-year-old Xavier Jennings Malcolm.

According to Fort Worth police, both men were part of a fight that broke out outside of a home in Fort Worth.

There was an exchange of gunfire and Hoyer shot Malcolm in the head.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say Hoyer shot at least one other man as well.

His injuries were not fatal.
