All residents who evacuated a Wichita Falls neighborhood because of a gas leak have returned home and have utilities fully restored.
Saturday around 5 p.m., a gas leak that entered the city sewer system forced the evacuation of the Southwinds neighborhood.
City officials say the evacuation included more than 230 homes in an area that covered approximately one square mile.
And Saturday around 9 p.m., the all clear was given for all but nine residents to return to their home.
But officials tell us, residents in those final nine homes returned to their houses Sunday with electricity restored by 10 a.m. and gas service restored by 5 p,m.
