Despite some much needed rain, Wichita Falls remains in stage three emergency water restricitions.

While water conservation is on the minds of many, the Plumbing, Heating, Cooling Contractors Association is planning on doing their part to save water.

Members of the PHCC, along with city officials, met on Tuesday to discuss options on how the association can conserve water during these struggling times.

The PHCC has a lot of ideas but they want to get the word out to other plumbers and irrigators to do their best also.

Local businesses like Brian's Plumbing have implemented new rules like first response to water leaks; making them a priority.

City officials were invited to give their input on the city's current water situation and answer questions on what the future may hold.

Red River Valley PHCC President Brian Walser says they have come up with a lot of goals but there are still obstacles to overcome.

"Just having the manpower to be able to get on a water leak and get it fixed ASAP or get it turned off," Walser says. "With all the plumbers and all, the people working together to do that to try to save water."

Walser hopes the PHCC will be able to answer any questions homeowners may have on the current water situation and offer advice on how to cut their water bill.
