Once stage three water restrictions were announced in Wichita Falls, George Berre, a well-driller who lives in Wichita Falls, says his phone started ringing off the hook.

"We're going just as fast as we can go," Berre says.

Business in Wichita, Archer, and Clay Counties continues to grow.

"Exponentially," Berre says. "We have two pages of people, no, more than two pages of people waiting on us to drill wells."

Burkburnett resident Jami French and her family have two water wells on their property.

"We use it for watering our grass, which is what we use one of them for. The second one is for our home and only our home. We use it to wash," French says.

She says the wells provide her family many benefits.

"We don't have city water, so we don't pay a bill. That's always nice," French says.

And Berre agrees.

"They can wash their cars. They can water their gardens. They can use the water without any restrictions at all. They can water 24 hours a day if they have enough water," Berre says.

He says he's received so many calls from residents wanting to install water wells in their yards, he's thinking about buying a new drilling rig so he can have two drilling crews out working at all times to keep up with demand.
