Early Morning Standoff Sends One Man to Jail

A man is in custody after a situation that police say was believed to have been a hostage situation.
At least 32 Wichita Falls police units responded to a call to check a suspicious person in the 2300 block of eighth street just after two this morning.
According to Wichita Falls Police Sergeant John Spraggins, the situation was believed to have involved a possible hostage. SWAT officers and hostage negotiators were called to the scene and shortly before five this morning the suspect surrendered. It is not yet know what charges he will face.
Sergeant Spraggins says the were no injuries in this situation. We will bring you updated information as soon as it is available.
