Hail Pummels Brookshire, Texas

(KPRC) Residents of Brookshire, Texas were woken up in the middle of the night as quarter-sized hail pounded the town.
The nearly 10-minute hail storm moved through about 2:15 a.m. on Wednesday, the first day of spring.
Thousands of pieces of hail littered the Meadowood Apartments. Residents there found damage to their homes and vehicles. Every north-facing window in the complex was hit by the hail.
Michelle Clark said the hail sounded like shotgun blasts.
"It was very scary," she said. "It's like snow in March."
