Students Loving Free Little Library

By: Mechell Dixon
Updated: March 21, 2013

A unique library is opening a new chapter for young readers in a Wichtia Falls neighborhood.

The Little Free Library opened earlier this month in front of Building Blocks Learning Center.

The library is packed with books that neighborhood kids can take, read and exchange for another book at no cost.

It's a program by the West Lynwood School Readiness Project and United Way to promote literacy.

And coorindators say students have visited the library frequently.

Coordinators also say they hope to have 20 more Little Free Libraries in the neighborhood by May and eventually all around Wichita County.
