This Weekend's "The Duel" is an Epic Battle for Runners

    This weekend, hundreds of runners will take to the streets and the dirt trails of Wichita Falls for a series of races hosted by the Wichita Streams and Valleys Organization.
    "The Duel" is a weekend full of races.
    Runners can choose between a variety races which will be both Saturday and Sunday.
    Sandy Monson, executive director of Streams and Valleys, says, "We've got great weather this weekend.  This is going to be our fourth year to offer the off-road events Saturday on the Wee-Chi-Tah Trail, which is an award-winning, off-road trail, and Sunday we're offering events on the paved trail."
    Saturday's events are all off-road, and include a marathon, half-marathon, and ultra-marathon.
    Sunday's events are all pavements races, Including a 5K, half-marathon, ultra-marathon, and a Boston qualifier full-marathon.
    Proceeds from the event go toward general maintenance of the Wee-Chi-Tah Trail and also benefit the MSU Women's Cross Country Team.
