A man who robbed a 7-11 while dressed in his work uniform is sentenced to eight years of Texas Department of Corrections' boot camp.
Twenty-two year-old Trey Wakefield pleaded guilty to the robbery of the 7-11 at Avenue K and Grant last March.
An employee said during that robbery a man with a gun came in shortly after 3 a.m., grabbed her by the collar, and began shaking her while demanding money.
She said she reached into the register and gave him $8.
Police viewed the surveillance video and saw the robber was wearing a Wendy's hat and shirt.
So, they made still photos and took them to the Wendy's at the Flying J Truck Stop where the manager immediately identified the man as an employee and said he'd gotten off work about an hour before the robbery.
Police say when he was questioned, Wakefield admitted to the robbery
