For his dedication to the Partners in Education program we honor Paul Reyes with this month's Spirit of Texoma Award.
Once a week he spends one-on-one time with two different students in the WFISD.
Here is what Paul had to say about his experience in the program and about the 8-year-old child Gavin Wood he mentors, "He's made me realize alot about myself that we kind of forget about ourselves as we get older and you see that in these kids, you see what you have kind of let go growing up and I'm glad we have been able to partner up."
The Partners in Education program currently has 1,000 mentors, but with 14,000 students in the WFISD they can always use more.
If you interested in volunteering call the PIE office at 235-1009.  You can also find more information at http://www.wfisd.net//Domain/49
Owens and Brumley Funeral Homes congratulate Paul for mentoring our community's future.
If you know someone who deserves the Spirit of Texoma nominate them now.
