A body found near some railroad tracks on the east side of Wichita Falls is being sent to Tarrant County for autopsy.

Friday just after 1 p.m., a woman found the body while walking in an overgrown area between the 400 and 500 block of Front Street.

Until next of kin is notified, police are only identifying the victim as a white man in his 50's who appears to have been a transient.

"A lot of the railroad tracks... the Salvation Army is also nearby. A few of the other shelters are nearby so, it's a pretty common area for that," says Officer Jeff Hughes.

Police say it appears the man died from natural causes but just to be sure, the autopsy will be performed.
