Updated: October 10, 2012
David Gonzalez joined the KFDX news team in June 2012 as an anchor and reporter. He will anchor Texoma's Fox at 9 p.m. and report for KFDX.

David was born and raised in Santa Ana, California. He lived in Phoenix, Arizona for three years while earning his Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. He is a proud Sun Devil. While at ASU, David worked as a reporter for Cronkite NewsWatch.

Also, David earned many regional Mark of Excellence awards from the Society of Professional Journalists for Television General News Reporting and Television News Photography. In 2010, he was presented with the Mark of Excellence National Award for Television News Photography.

Before arriving in Texoma, David worked as a Multimedia Journalist for KOLD News 13 in Tucson, Arizona for two years. During his time there, David covered major events like the aftermath of the Jan. 8 shooting that injured former U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords and killed 13 others, raging wildfires and Arizona's controversial immigration law.

In his spare time, David loves backpacking, traveling, photography and spending time with family and friends. He loves trying new restaurants and beers so if you have any recommendations, send them his way!

David is thrilled to explore everything Texoma has to offer. If you ever see him around town, feel free to stop him and say hi. He loves meeting new people and hearing your thoughts about what is going on around town. If you have a story idea, email him at dgonzalez@kfdx.com

Also, make sure to become his friend on Facebook and follow him on Twitter.
