A big anniversary brought folks together at the Burkburnett Community Center to celebrate.
It was the 90th anniversary of the Providence Baptist Church.
Members of the church gathered together eating and celebrating the big day.
"It's 90 years of continuous service in a small community and we just want to stop and thank god," said Nathaniel Dickerson, the chairman of the deacon board at the church.
Burkburnett's Mayor awarded the church with a Proclamation and the Central Baptists Church came out to sing in honor of the celebration.
Providence Baptist Church is the only African American church still running in Burkburnett today.
