More than 200 service workers who were busy laboring this Labor Day holiday got a big serving of "thank you" from the local location of a nationwide restaurant.
Olive Garden employees participated in the company's annual "Hospitaliano" day.
They delivered free lunches to workers in Wichita Falls, making their working holiday a little tastier.
Gerardo Rivera, Olive Garden service manager, says, "We deliver to our silent heroes: the people that really take care of us here in the community, like firefighters, police officers, and emergency room techs.  These people that, while we sleep at night, they're protecting us.  We take them for granted so often."
Jose Paredon, an Olive Garden server who delivered meals, says, "We like to go into the community and bring people who don't really know about us and don't really know what we do, bring them into the restaurant, and promote what we do."
Restaurant team members showed up to work bright and early to prepare the food.
"It's a spaghetti dinner with salad, bread sticks, and spaghetti," Rivera says.
Restaurant employees broke off into teams to deliver the delicious meals to United Regional, Kell West, the Wichita Falls Police Department, and city fire stations.
This is the 11th year for the Hospitaliano program.
Olive Garden also picks two business at random each week and takes them a free meal, too.
