Seymour Panthers Honor Marshall Gearhart at Homecoming Game

Marshall Gearhart is the Seymour Panthers all-time winningest coach with 72 wins from 1951-1961 before he left Fair Park Stadium to join the newly opened Rider School where he served as an assistant principal.

His first coaching experience came at Gunter High School during his Senior year. His high school coach left to go play for the Green Bay Packers. The coach and principal asked Gearhart to coach the team until a replacement could be found! At halftime of tonight's homecoming game in Seymour, Gearhart was presented a plaque.
