A driver is lucky to be alive today after Wichita Falls police say he or she was involved in a serious accident after falling asleep at the wheel.

It happened around 2:30 this morning in the 24-hundred block of Sheppard Access Road.

Police have not released the name of the driver but say that person fell asleep while driving, crashed, and the vehicle rolled, shattering all windows on the SUV.

Police also say the driver was taken by private car to the hospital.

So far the extent of that person's injuries.
