You have one last chance to let Wichita Falls city leaders know about a proposal to throw out residential dumpsters.
The plan is to convert alleyway dumpster to roll-out curbside containers during the next three years.
Officials say this will create a savings of more than $300-thousand per year.
But, some residents say the convenience of dumpsters is priceless.
Alley customers who are converted to curbside service will receive a rate reduction of $2.80 per month.
This issue will be discussed at the Tuesday, Oct. 16 city council meeting...
At the council chambers inside the city building at 1300 7th St.
The meeting starts at 8:30 a.m.
Should the council decide not to approve the resolution, officials will present two new options for council to consider.
The first is increasing alley customers' collection bills by about $3 per month.
The second in a three-percent across the board increase for all residential and commercial customers.
That way, officials say they'll be able to recover the more than $300-thousand in annual savings that would be lost if the resolution did not pass.
