Three pets so to speak put their paws together to help a Texoma Wild Bird Rescue.
The event was called "Paws It Forward," and it was held all day in the "Wild Birds Unlimited Store"-- at Smith's Gardentown Farms in Wichita Falls.
Owners say they came up with the event because the businesses three cats love birds.
And anyone who made a $25 donation to Wild Bird Rescue received $20 in coupons to spend at Wild Birds Unlimited.
"We just decided to do this as kind of a joke because several of the other Wild Birds Unlimited stores in the country have either store cats or store dogs and they will often host a "Paws It Forward" fundraiser or sale to help out a rescue organization in their area," said Katherine Smith the Smith's Gardentown Farms owner.
Attending today's event was Rusty, an Eastern Screech Owl.
He was saved by volunteers at "Wild Bird Rescue" and was used to help educate folks who attended today's "Paws It Forward."
