Today's cold weather makes the perfect time to kick off the annual KFDX Coat Drive.

Each year Texomans bring their gently used coats to Comet Cleaners where they're cleaned and passed along to organizations that get them to those who need them the most.

But coordinators say this year's drive is starting a few weeks early.

"The coat drive typically starts between Thanksgiving and Christmas. This year it started early with this first cold snap that we've had today and people have already started bringing in coats," says Brian Hooker, the owner of Comet Cleaners.

To participate in our annual coat drive drop off your gently used adult or children's coats to any of these Comet Cleaner's locations in Wichita Falls so they can help those in need stay warm this winter.
