Red Cross helps those affected by Superstorm Sandy

The American Red Cross North Texas Region has sent eight relief workers to areas impacted by Superstorm Sandy.
Katrina Farmer, executive director for the North Central Texas Chapter of the Red Cross, says one Wichita Falls volunteer has been deployed to Albany, New York.
Duke Osborn will spend up to 21 days helping to open a shelter.
Farmer says Texomans can help by contributing to the nation's blood supply.
Those people on the east coast probably aren't going to make blood donations for the next couple of weeks," Farmer says. "They are going to be busy cleaning up so it's important for people in the rest of the country that haven't been affected to come in and make a blood donation."
