A crash between a motorcycle driver and a deer on Friday evening sends one man to the hospital.

Department of Public Safety Trooper Gina Loran says the motorcyclist was riding north on Highway 281 when a deer stepped onto the road.

Loran says the motorcycle hit the deer and the crash sent the driver sliding and flipping into a barrow ditch.

He was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

Unfortunately, the deer was killed in the crash.
