Wichita Falls police say a heated early morning argument caused a woman to head to the hospital and a man to the Wichita County jail.

Around 1:30 a.m., police arrested 57 year old Warren George Carter, Junior for aggravated assault/family violence.

During an argument with an unidentified female at a house in the 2100 block of Roberts Avenue, police say Carter hit the victim with a baseball bat.

She was taken to United Regional for treatment of non-life threatening injuries and Carter was taken to jail.

His bond has not yet been set.
