The American Red Cross continues assisting hurricane sandy victims.

And locally the non-profit organization held training for volunteers who are interested in helping others.

The Red Cross Chapter in Wichita Falls hosted its Red Cross rally and training today.

Volunteers learned several lessons including what the organization provides in natural disasters, like clean up equipment, as well as how to assess homes damaged during a disaster.

And volunteers were eager to learn.

"I Think it is a really good organization, that really gives back to the community and it's been around forever," said Joyce Bedoian, who attended the training.

Once today's training session was complete, all volunteers became certified Red Cross volunteers.
