Police said 19-year-old Lekisha Monroe was in her vehicle at 4659 NW Motif Manor at around 8:15 Sunday evening.

That's when police said she heard gunfire.

Monroe told police she felt something sting the back of her neck, then she fell out of the car.

Monroe told police she then got back into her vehicle and drove to Comanche County Memorial Hospital, where she was treated and released.

The bullet was retrieved by medical personnel and turned over to Lawton Police.

Monroe's vehicle was impounded for processing due to multiple bullet holes found in the car.

There were also a number of shell casings found at the scene where Monroe stated she heard the shots being fired.
