What could be called the dirtiest race in the world rapped up in Britain on Sunday.

Tough Mudder attracted eight-thousand competitors who braved electric shocks, fire and mud tunnels over the course of a dozen miles and more than two dozen obstacles.

The concept for the race actually began in Pennsylvania two years ago and there are now 35 events across the globe every year. This was the third event in Britain this year.

Unlike other races, organizers place less emphasis on finishing times and more on camaraderie.
