Dozens of home bound patients have a hot cooked meal to be grateful for this Thanksgiving.

Specialty nurses in Wichita Falls packed 40 meals for those who cannot leave their home and will be unable to visit with family for the holiday.

They delivered them to patients in holiday, Burkburnett, Iowa Park and Wichita Falls.

And many of the patients were tickled to see nurses when they delivered the turkey and mashed potato dish.

"Thank god someone can come to your rescue when you can't do things, that you like to do yourself but you can't do no more," said Jaunita Treadwell, a Specialty Nurses patient.

This is the first year specialty nurses passed out the meals for the holiday and they say it won't be the last.
